Daimonzaka to Nachi Falls

We will park near the foot of Nachi Falls and walk up massive stone steps through a forest to see the falls.

Breathe in the atmosphere as you make your way up Daimonzaka to the falls viewpoint.

There are a number of shops along the way where you can learn about local crafts as you take a break.

Upon arriving at the top we will find the bright red Kumano Nachi Grand Shrine next to the beautiful and still Seiganto-ji Temple.

Beyond the buildings is the awe inspiring sight of the 133-meter-high Nachi Falls, the highest waterfall in Japan. From there you can also view one of the last remaining pristine primeval forests in Japan.

Relax, enjoy, and be inspired by the sacred and natural atmosphere of Nachi and let go of your daily worries.
