Thank you for visiting our website. We are the local guide association of Kumano Kodo and other areas of Wakayama prefecture.
Since the beginning of the “Koya and Kumano Special Zone Interpreter Guide” system in 2012, many qualified people have been born to this day. In response to this, while the number of requests for guides increased dramatically in the Koya and Kumano areas, there were few requests for other areas in Wakayama Prefecture, and the phenomenon of number of requests occurred as “High in the South, Low in the North”. The current situation is that there are not many places for guides living in Kihoku, north part of Wakayama Prefecture to play an active part.
With the fact that there are still many other fascinating tourist attractions in the prefecture, opportunities to convey them are not given much importance.
To overcome this situation, we will transmit the charm of other areas in the prefecture to have customers stay in Wakayama as much as possible. With this, Regional Interpreter Guides and National Interpreter Guides who do not currently have a place to guide will be given an opportunity to play an active part. This situation became a transportation for the establishment of the Wakayama Local Guide Association.
What we are aiming for is ” local production for local consumption.”
The goal is to provide locally-based information that cannot be conveyed by a guide living in another prefecture, and to minimize the burden of travel costs to customers and to allow them to visit Wakayama again.
We have begun to further enhance the know-how that our guides have cultivated so far, and we are starting to focus on how to foster the younger generations.
How can we make our customers happy? To create an environment where guides can work more easily and play an active role, with the motto of “stagnation is retreating”, we will continue to evolve and strive to be a corporation that is always close to the needs of our customers.
In addition, we will continue to develop businesses that take advantage of the strengths of our guides in the future
Thank you very much for your continued support.
