Yohei Nakano

Hello!  I’m Yohei Nakano.  I live in Wakayama City, a three-hour drive north off Kumano.

Like most Japanese, I am a Shinto follower and a Buddhist.

Even before deciding to become a guide in Kumano, I was a longtime fan of Kumano Sanzan.

I often visit Hongu Grand Shrine to pray to the deities, because like the ancient pilgrims, I believe in praying.

If you want, I can make time available for you to pray during the tour, so that you can connect with whichever being you worship.

I believe that through your prayers, you will feel revitalized, and hopefully there will be a change in your life.

I would like to accomplish three things as your guide.

First, I would like to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Next, I hope to share with you what the pilgrims would have experienced in ancient times.

Lastly, I want to help you unveil the secrets of Japan’s spiritual past.

I’m looking forward to assisting you on your journey.
