Mabuhay (Filipino for Hello)
Im Jennifer Strebel Fujino.
I was born and raised in Bacolod City, Philippines. Pure Ilongga by blood and heart, I grew up a very active child who loved dancing and singing and spent a lot of time with friends and walked for hours under the heat of the sun.
By nature a jolly, love to smile and approachable person. Always on the go when into something.
I came to Japan 28years ago .
With two entirely different culture and tradition, I have raised two daughters that made me indulged myself to learn the pros and cons of daily life in Japan.
I am permanently residing in Shirahama, located on the south coast of Wakayama Prefecture. A town blessed with natural landscapes , a white beach and famous for hotsprings. And hey, we are very famous for pandas,too.
I can show you around.
Kumano as a holy land is a place that gives me inner peace and vitality. With its deep history of Japan I have loved to walk rain or shine.
The more I learn deeper about its history, the more I get excited to share it with everyone.

Guest : Jennifer, how many times have you walked this course?
Me: A lot and I couldn’t even remember.
Guest: Don’t you ever get tired or bored?
Me: (very quick reply) NO! Every single person or group I guide is special and unique. I guide them as if it was their first and last visit to Kumano. I love what I do.
